A Dual Champion is both a Show Champion and a Field Champion.

Only very special dogs have what it takes to become a Dual Champion. It takes a lot of committment from the owner/handler, training and natural instinct to complete both titles.

We believe that the dachshund should be able to do what it was bred for - these dogs prove they can!

For more information on field trialing with your dachshund, see http://www.dachshund-dca.org/fieldtrials.html.  All AKC dachshunds aged 6 months or older are eligible to participate.

This is Grand Champion, Dual Champion Stardust's Simply Irresistible, RE
known to all as Stella

( Dual CH Hale's Hudson SL, RN, JE, VC x  Field CH Stardust One Way or Another, JE, ROMX)

Stella is Simply Irresistible as her name states. From the moment she was born I knew she would be a special girl.  Stella finished her field title with over 81 points in tough Midwest competition.  She completed her show title with three specialty major wins - which is quite a feat!  She is smart too, she finished all three Rally titles in no time!  We are not sure what the future holds for Stella, but we know it will be bright!

Stella had a beautiful litter of 5 pups out of CH Stardust Jackson von Skaer on 7-23-10.

3/2011 - After only 5 agility classes Stella qualified for her first leg in Novice Agility Jumpers with Weaves (preferred).  We will work more on agility in the fall, you cannot run a field dachshund outside!!

7/2011 - Stella finished her Grand Championship title with her 7th major win!!  She is the first longhaired Dual Champion female to attain this title in the USA.   Stella also has been invited to the Eukanuba National Championship.

8 & 9/2011  Stella continues to add additional Grand Championship majors and points with multiple BOV and BOS wins.  She now has 11 Grand CH majors.   No more shows for awhile now....

10/11 Stella wins first place in the Field Champion bitch stake at the Badger Dachshund Field trial in a class of 16.   Her 1/2 sister Gretchen won the OAAB class of 22 !!

1/12  Stella wins 2 back to back Grand Champion majors and also qualifies for another JWP agility leg.

Stella has had some big wins at specialty shows - all wins are out of the Dual Champion class.

May 2011:  Best Dual Champion in Show at the National Dachshund Club Specialty.
She was also 1st in the Dual Champion class in the DCA supporting show.

March 2011: At the Badger Dachshund Specialty, Stella defeated 22 females for a 5 point Grand Championship major - her 5th.  She was Best Opposite Sex to BOV.

Sept. 2010:  At the Central Iows Dachshund Club Specialty, just 7 wks after her pups were born and despite a thin coat and droopy tummy she still earned a Select Grand Championship major.

March 2010: Best of Variety and Best Opposite Sex to Breed (best female in show) at the Badger Dachshund Specialty 50th anniversary show!!

Oct. 2009:  Best Dual Champion in show and the 1st Award of Merit at the DCA National show.
She was also 1st in the Dual Champion class in the DCA supporting shows.
